Customization Options for a Curtainside Trailer

Would you like to customize your curtainside trailer? Do you know the options available?

A curtainside trailer is more than an adaptable trailer that blends the open access of a flatbed with the enclosure and security of an enclosed van. It’s also a customized moving billboard for your company logo and message—an artist’s palette of color and creative design in constant motion. Every company wants to heighten name recognition and brand, as well as advertise their trade and services offered. There’s no more effective means to establish a high profile than a fleet of billboards on the road every day, continuously keeping your name in the public eye. There’s also no better way to spend advertising dollars: the expense of renting a single stationary billboard situated along a high-traffic road for only one month is several times the expense of a pair of creative Roland curtains—lasting for years and displaying your message along countless miles down many roads.

Road-Worthy Material

Certainly, traditional color and artwork can be painted on the rigid structure of a conventional van. However, the flexible PVC-coated fabric composition of a Roland curtain is a material that lends itself to the vastly greater creative possibilities offered by digital printing as well as color silk-screening. Complex graphic designs can be transferred directly from a digital file to the curtain with high-resolution and bold colors. Tightly stretched when closed, the curtains provide an excellent surface for graphic display. Roland curtains are fabricated of 100 percent polyester, then coated with PVC and sealed with acrylic lacquer. The inside surface of the curtain is reinforced with horizontal and vertical welded PVC webbing to bolster strength and protection against rips and tearing. The curtains provide excellent all-weather durability, breaking and tear strength, and are rated for use in temperatures ranging from 22 degrees below zero to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Customized Color In Motion

Color options for the curtain are comprised of 26 selections. There is a full spectrum of hues, including three shades of red, five green and, seven shades of blue, in addition to white, cream, yellow, orange, silver, grey, brown and black.

A great result starts with a great graphic design. Customers can supply original digital artwork by simply uploading the file electronically to Roland from their website at www.rolandcurtains.com, which is in turn loaded into our software to produce a graphic layout sample that is returned to the customer for their final review and approval. Once the go-ahead is received, the customized design is printed into a boldly rich and vivid image on the curtain, which is a layout typically measuring 48 feet by 110 inches for a full-size trailer.
